Because it's transparency that leads to vulnerability. "In order to be used in evidence against us."<br /><br />And, if it helps any, even when it's me reading my own 2700+ word posts, my eyes start to water, too. (In all seriousness, thank you for sharing that, and your own vulnerability in your posts and conversations as well.)Wm. My first thought was that it would require something closer to a book chapter than a blog post. So I contented myself with having roughly split the difference. (Love the reference, too.) Because I have not yet been sufficiently sanctified so as to avoid hurting others' feelings. But I do find that I can no longer do so without caring about it, and therefore practicing the repentance and confession that leads to forgiveness and restoration. Thanks for the comment!Wm. I have that problem, too. And I agree with you, that it is always better to not sin; as you hint between the lines, in every circumstance, regardless of our reasons, it is always better to not sin. I like how you address the reality that a tainted world is not a reason to sin, and that self-protection is not a reason to sin. Can your Jesus keep me from carelessly hurting others’ feelings? If so then I want him. Like you, I’ve sinned since I was in diapers, and my family knows it like your mother knew your deal with the building blocks. With all that you have seen in people, it is a wonder you still care to share publicly such profound inner feelings, and I thank you. We can’t find unity in our perfection. Let’s find it a lifetime of conversation together, and in your forgiveness of me. jpAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
